Strade Bianche: Pogacar emulates Kopecky’s victory with an 81km solo breakaway

Slovenia’s Tadej Pogacar emerged victorious in the men’s Strade Bianche, showcasing a dominant performance with an impressive 81km solo attack in Italy on Saturday. Riding for UAE Team Emirates, Pogacar took the lead on the 11.5km Monte Sante Marie gravel section as he had planned before the race. He maintained his lead throughout the race, finishing two and a half minutes ahead of his closest competitors. This victory marked the first time a rider won the race by over a minute in its 17-year history.
