Rory McIlroy acknowledges he was overly critical when expressing his opinion about LIV players.

Rory McIlroy has admitted that his previous criticisms of those who joined the breakaway LIV Golf Tour were too harsh. He now understands that not everyone is in the same position as him or Tiger Woods and regrets being judgmental at the start. While he still disagrees with those who criticized the established tours after leaving, he acknowledges that the Saudi intervention exposed some flaws in the system that need to be addressed. McIlroy also commented on Jon Rahm’s move to LIV, seeing it as a calculated business decision in the midst of negotiations.
