Norwegian monarch receives pacemaker insertion following illness in Malaysia.

King Harald of Norway received a temporary pacemaker in Malaysia during his holiday due to a low heart rate. The palace confirmed the successful procedure and stated that the monarch is in good condition but needs to rest. The pacemaker’s installation aims to ensure a safer journey back home for the 87-year-old king, who has faced various health issues in recent years. Crown Prince Haakon is currently acting as regent in King Harald’s absence.
