New Year’s Eve sees tragic death of adolescent male due to stabbing in London.

A man has been taken into custody following an attack on a teenage boy, believed to be 16, in Primrose Hill just before midnight.

On New Year’s Eve, at a popular London viewpoint where families had gathered to watch the fireworks, the teenage boy was fatally stabbed shortly before midnight.

The Metropolitan police received reports of the stabbing in Primrose Hill, Camden, at 11.40pm.

Despite efforts by police, paramedics, and the London air ambulance, the victim, believed to be 16 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene just before midnight.

Forensic teams have arrived at the scene, and the park remains cordoned off as police patrol the area.

According to witnesses, there were numerous people present at the time of the attack, including families with young children.

Police have urged anyone with information to come forward, as knife crime continues to be a concern in England and Wales.
