Israeli troops find the body of a hostage with both French and Israeli citizenship in the Gaza Strip.

Elya Toledano, a French-Israeli hostage, was found dead in Gaza after being kidnapped by militants during Hamas attacks on 7 October. The Israeli army recovered Toledano’s body and confirmed the news, offering condolences to the family. Toledano, who was 28 years old at the time, was one of approximately 240 hostages taken during the attacks. His friend, Mia Schem, who was also a French-Israeli hostage, was released in November. The families of the hostages expressed shock and demanded an explanation after the director of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, announced that he would not conduct new negotiations for their release.
