India’s Sharma and Vastrakar inflict agony on Australia in women’s Test.

Australia face a challenging task to save the one-off Test in Mumbai after an unbroken 102-run partnership between Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar propelled India to 376 for seven at the end of day two. Sharma, unbeaten on 70, and Vastrakar, not out on 33, came together before tea following a collapse that saw India at 274 for seven in response to Australia’s 219. The bowling duo showcased their batting skills with their highest scores, preventing Australia from taking any wickets in the final session and extending India’s lead to a formidable 157 runs.
