Father honors young London boy killed by stabbing

Mother charged with murder of Kobi Macharia Dooly at address in Hackney
The father of Kobi Macharia Dooly, the four-year-old who was found with knife injuries at a location in east London, has paid tribute to his son, expressing that “the happiness and laughter you brought to the world has been taken away far too soon.”
Police were alerted to a residence on Montague Road, Hackney, around 11pm on Wednesday due to concerns about the welfare of a child.
Upon entering the home, officers discovered Kobi with knife wounds and arrested his mother, Keziah Macharia. The child was transported to the hospital but sadly passed away from the injuries.
A photograph of Kobi, along with a tribute from his father Ben Dooly, was released by the Metropolitan Police on Saturday.
“With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Kobi. You will be deeply missed,” he stated.
“The happiness and laughter you brought to the world has been taken away far too soon. We will think of you day and night, for eternity, until we reunite with you.
“The family would like to acknowledge and appreciate all the supportive messages. Please respect our privacy during this extremely difficult time.”
Macharia appeared in Thames Magistrates Court on Friday and is scheduled to appear in the Old Bailey in London on Thursday, December 28th.
