A fatal house fire claims the lives of three individuals in south London.

Two Polish nationals, believed to be Polish nationals, suffered life-threatening injuries as a fire engulfed a two-story house in Croydon, resulting in its destruction.

According to the Metropolitan Police, a third man has lost his life due to the incident while another man is in critical condition. The fire, which occurred on Friday night on Sanderstead Road, claimed the lives of two men, one aged in his 40s, while the third man, in his 30s, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday afternoon.

Following the incident, two other men, suspected to be Polish nationals, have presented themselves at the hospital. One of them has been discharged, but the other is still suffering from life-threatening injuries.

The London fire brigade, along with the police, is currently investigating the cause of the fire. Ch Insp Imran Asghar, from the south area basic command unit (BCU), expressed his sadness over the incident and the loss of three lives. He also mentioned that efforts are being made to identify the victims and support their families.
