A family is left stranded 400ft in the air atop the London Eye pod after strong winds forcefully remove the hatch.

A family of eleven, including David Nock, experienced being “exposed to the elements” while being suspended more than 400ft above the ground when strong winds forcefully removed the hatch from their London Eye pod. David Nock and his family, who were visiting the capital, anticipated that the London Eye would be the highlight of their trip. However, their excitement turned into anxiety as a powerful gust caused their hatch to be ripped off at the top of the ride. The ride came to a halt, leaving them stranded for five minutes.
