A 16-year-old boy is brought to court in connection with the murder of Harry Pitman on New Year’s Eve.

A tragic incident occurred on Primrose Hill in north London where 16-year-old Harry Pitman was fatally stabbed. Recently, a teenager has been brought before the court on charges of murdering Pitman on New Year’s Eve. Pitman, who had gone to the Camden park with friends to enjoy the fireworks, was killed shortly before midnight. The accused, also 16, is facing additional charges of possessing an offensive weapon and has been held in custody for further investigation.

The defendant, who hails from Westminster and remains anonymous due to being a minor, provided only his name, date of birth, and address during the court session. While being escorted into custody, he took a moment to express his love for his visibly emotional parents. The Metropolitan police stated that specialist officers are offering support to Harry’s family during this difficult time.

Another 17-year-old boy who was initially arrested in connection with the incident has been released on bail. Furthermore, three other boys who were also detained will not face any further action, as confirmed by the police. Lisa Ramsarran, the deputy chief crown prosecutor for the CPS London homicide team, emphasized the need for everyone to exercise caution and avoid sharing any information online that could potentially prejudice the ongoing legal proceedings.
